Purpose and mission:The purpose of the BWI Alumni Association is to support its alma-matter. The Mission of the Association is to organize BWI graduates, their families, friends of BWI in North America into a supportive and resourceful Association for the benefit of Booker Washington Institute in Kakata Liberia.
BWINAANA President A. Zac Payne appointed National Historian Mrs. Margaret Toweh as a statutory member to the Board of Governor of BWI during the November 2013 Executive Council Meeting held in Cleveland, Ohio hosted by the Great Lakes Chapter. Mrs. Toweh will be vacating her post as a Historian to represent the organization on the BWI board of Governor. Mrs. Toweh will be replacing Hon. D. Ralph Henri former BWINAANA Board of Governor was was appointed by her

Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf President of the Republic of Liberia to a nine person Non Statutory Member of the Board of Governor to manage the affairs of BWI. Governor Toweh is currently residing in Liberia and will represent this organization well. Congratulations to Governor Toweh on her appointment to the Board.
National Historian Appointed to BWI Board of Governors
Founding Member and former National President becomes National Historian
Founding member and former president Mr. Emmet Faiwoo was confirmed by the EC during BWINAANA Executive Council Meeting held in Cleveland Ohio this past November. Mr. Faiwoo was presented to the Executive Council Members to replace Madam Toweh who was appointed to the BWI Board of Governors.
Mr. Faiwoo has served BWINAANA since its inception. Mr. Faiwoo was first elected in 1991 as National General Secretary. His position was to lead and steer the new organization which put in place the framework of BWINAANA. Mr. Faiwoo led the organization until the first National Election for the organization was held in Rhode Island where Mr. Evan Hugo was elected the first President for BWINAANA.
Mr. Faiwoo was again elected in 2002 as the sixth President for BWINAANA in Dallas Texas. Former President Faiwoo has worked in different capacities of the organization both locally and nationally. We extend our congratulations to Former President Faiwoo on his confirmation as National Historian of BWINAANA.
I just got words from the last chapter confirming that her delegates to convention 2014 safely returned home; this conclude and confirm (at least officially) that all delegates to convention 2014 have returned home safely. Praise God Almighty for his traveling grace.
We also want to be grateful to Him for a very successful convention.
With God, we pronised that you were going to have great time in Georgia and I hope you had wonderful time. I want to thank President Alladin and the entire membership of the Georgia Chapter for all that they put into this. I want to thank my own National VP Honorable Sebastine Teah, National Chairman/convention 2014 and his able principal deputy Mrs. Doris Railey-Kieh and all members of the convention committee for the planning and successful execution of the convention.
One great news I thought you will definitely want to hear is: diagnostic of Ada Hage's Mother ruled out the symptom of stroke and brain turma. The oldma is okay and speedily recovering. Our God is still in the business of answering prayers. We want to thank Him for such a speedy answer to our prayers. Ada can be reached at 703-713-6326.
