The Great Lakes Chapter is gearing for its annual "Western Night" to be held in Chicago on Saturday April 21, 2007. According to Mr. Asumana Pelima, President of the Chapter, the event will include raffle, western atire competition, installation of newly elected officers, among others. The Great Lakes Chapter is therefore inviting all alumni and friends of BWI to come and enjoy an atmosphere of family gathering. Click Here for details...
The Great Lakes Chapter on Sunday January 21, 2007 elected new corps of officers to serve the 2007 2008 terms. Those elected were Mr. Asuman Pelima, President, Mrs. Elizabeth Seward, Vice President, Ms. Konah Yancy Morgan, Treasurer, Treasurer, Mr. Joe Flomo Matthew Chaplain, Ms. Sando Yancy Secretary, Ms. Ester Garwo Social Secretary, and Mr. Alfred W. Cooper Financial Secretary.
Two members of the Great Lakes Chapter recently achieved academic and professional honors in the nursing field. Alumnae Mrs. Elizabeth Seward recetly took and passed the State of Wisconsin's Nursing Board examination qualifing her to become a Registered nurse. In similar development, Alumnae Ms. Esther Garwo recently completed her studies in the nursing field in the State of Wisconsin. Speaking on behalf of the officers and members of the Great Lakes Chapter, the President Mr. Asumana Pelima congratulated the two Alumni for such exceptional achievements. Certainly, the Great Lakes Chapter is proud of the two alumni and wishes them the best in their respective endeavors.
